Extra Wide Diamond Wedding Rings – Photo of the Day

Extra wide diamond wedding rings such as this one can be made in yellow gold and platinum

Extra Wide Diamond Wedding Rings in Platinum and Yellow Gold

Our photograph of the day comes from our ready made jewellery collection and shows a bi-colour or two colour wedding ring. The 10mm wide band was created with a flat profile, crafted from two very different precious metals. Firstly 950 Platinum for whiteness, contrasting with the rich warm colour of the yellow gold. Dividing the ring, a fine division was machined, and flush set with small, fully faceted round brilliant cut diamonds.

Extra wide diamond wedding rings tend to be in mm. widths above 8mm. Many of the extra wide diamond wedding rings that are commissioned at Serendipity are made specially to order – taking any requirements into consideration.

Starting with an initial brief, we discuss all options and costs, before moving onto the design stage of creating the ring. Further embellishments include engraving – which can be as diverse as you want, ranging from simple text to more elaborate designs such such as finger prints.

Besides the style of the ring (court, flat, d-shape and flat court) we can vary the depth of the wedding ring. The three most popular ring weights include light, medium and heavy weight. As depth increases, the quantity of precious metal increases. The result is a higher cost as the ring achieves greater weight.

Finger size also affects both the weight and the end cost, an important consideration before an accurate quote can be provided. If these details appear bewildering, there should be no real cause for concern. Our step-by-step approach accommodates clients with little or no prior knowledge of jewellery.

Whether you are searching for a basic plain ring design in a more regular width, or one of our unique extra wide diamond wedding rings, we can assist from your initial enquiry to the finished piece, with knowledgable guidance all of the way.
