Today’s Photograph – Bespoke Ring with Plaited Shoulders

Our photograph today comes from a recent diamond engagement ring commission. Created using 950 Platinum, the ring was commissioned through our bespoke engagement ring service.

We provided guidance from first email contact, through to the completion of this exceptional ring commission. Our brief included specific styling details – three outer diamonds on each side of the main stone, plaited shoulders and trilogy styled outer diamonds.

Ring Details

This plaited shoulder engagement ring commission took around 4 weeks to complete. The central diamond used was 0.60cts, measuring around 5.5mm in diameter, surrounded by smaller fully brilliant cut diamonds, approx. 2.5mm in size.

With an approximate carat weight of 1.00cts diamonds were matched precisely by colour, clarity and cut.

The plaited shoulders were designed with a unique interwoven appearance, joining to the single band fitting around underside of the finger.

There are many styles of existing plaited shoulder engagement rings – some diamond set, others plain. Variations in diamond shoulder design enable unique and individual styles to exist in combination alongside variations in the style of the setting itself.
