Putting a Proposal of Marriage on Ice

Proposal of marriage in the snow.

Proposal of marriage in the snow.

Cold knee, warm heart – proposal on ice.

Since we have been experiencing pretty snowy conditions, we thought we would add a seasonal post to encourage anyone thinking of popping the question either whilst skiing or on sledge. A Winter Wonderland can make the perfect backdrop for a proposal of marriage and it does not have to take place on the Alps with heavy snow heading this way. Here we awoke to a mere dusting of snow compared to some parts of the country, but even on the not-so-sunny Isle of Wight, we are likely to get our fair share. One of the advantages over a beach style of proposal lies in the excessive winter clothing – this makes a perfect hideaway for the ring-box which can be hidden out of site before the proposal. I love to think that a cold knee and a warm heart are a great combination.

The photograph comes from one of our clients, who sent this across to me following a wonderful romantic proposal whilst away skiing.
