I might be generalising here, but from my own experience, men typically want a resilient band. Something that is not to be considered ‘cheap’ but able to withstand a few knocks and scrapes\u2014in addition, they want a ring that will not cost a fortune.<\/p>\n

Most popular choices and an average cost<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Most of our male clients\u00a0spend in the region of \u00a3400-\u00a3500 on their wedding ring<\/strong>. This cost is based upon a popular style such as the substantial\u00a0medium court wedding ring<\/a>\u00a0in a 5mm width and in a fairly typical finger size for a man. We have based this upon the popular metal choice of Palladium for wedding rings<\/a>\u00a0favoured for its similar appearance to Platinum, hypo-allergenic quality, ease of refurbishment and strength. The same choice in 950 Platinum would work out closer to \u00a3900.00 by comparison<\/strong>. Ethical Fairtrade 18ct Gold comes in at around \u00a3650.00 as a further comparison. Although 18ct white gold remains a popular choice, Palladium has become\u00a0popular because it does not need re-plating in the same way as 18ct white gold. 5mm remains a popular width on the finger<\/a> because it looks substantial, not too thin without appearing too wide for most hand sizes.<\/p>\n

Buying two rings can place further strain upon wedding finances. From our experience, many men sacrifice a more expensive wedding ring to enable a greater part of the budget to be put towards their partner’s wedding ring.
