What is fingerprint jewellery?<\/h2>\n

Fingerprint jewellery is any type of jewellery customised with the addition of a fingerprint applied to the surface of the item.<\/p>\n

How do jewellers add fingerprints to jewellery?<\/h2>\n

There are varying techniques when it comes to applying a fingerprint to jewellery. Some jewellers work from a fingerprint impression pushed into soft clay. Items are then cast to include the impression. Other jewellers etch a fingerprint into an item. Most techniques achieve varying results. Our own technique evolved over the last decade. Today we work with inked fingerprints created by our clients using a special fingerprint jewellery kit<\/a>. When clients place an order, we automatically send out our fingerprint kit with detailed instructions. We scan fingerprints at high definition before digitally refining and enhancing the prints. This process ensures a beautiful, faithful fingerprint for best results. The fingerprint is then laser-engraved onto the surface of the item before going through the final stage of re-polishing.<\/p>\n

Types of fingerprint jewellery<\/h2>\n

Most items of jewellery with a plain surface are suitable for engraving fingerprints. Most noteworthy, the depth of any item must be a minimum of 0.5mm in depth. Wedding rings and pendants are the most popular types of fingerprint jewellery.<\/p>\n

Fingerprint Necklaces and Pendants<\/h2>\n

Necklaces and pendants are different terms but mean the same. One of the most effective fingerprint necklaces consists of a clear fingerprint applied to a simple, circular or shaped disk of precious metal. Some of our latest designs include a small, feature diamond, flush set into the design.<\/p>\n

One of our most popular designs is the Fingerprint Ring. Wedding rings and Signet Rings are most popular for fingerprints. Both have a wide surface accommodating a detailed fingerprint. Signet rings are best engraved on the outer flat face. Wedding rings can be engraved on the inside or outside.<\/p>\n
