Hidden, or secret diamonds add a unique feature to an engagement ring or wedding ring band. The secret sparkle often features alongside a precision laser inscription to add a greater sense or personalisation. Are secret diamond rings more expensive?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The cost of a secret diamond ring depends on how it is made. We typically charge more for bespoke ring designs with a hidden diamond. However, some of our engagement rings have a sturdy enough band to accommodate a flush-set diamond. For this reason, some of our regular designs are suitable for modification with a flush-set diamond or gemstone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The diamonds we set into secret diamond engagement rings usually measure 1mm – 1.3mm as a guide. We use diamonds less shallow than the band of a ring, and smaller than the width of the band. In addition to regular diamonds, we can also use our Canadamark melee diamonds<\/a> for this purpose, available in sizes as small as just one millimetre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Over the years, we have set secret gemstones into engagement rings and wedding rings as an alternative to diamonds. However, as a word of caution, we recommend opting for a gemstone higher on the Mohs scale, ideally a Sapphire or Ruby, for example.
