Argyle Pink Diamond Ring

We created the Argyle pink diamond ring to showcase an incredibly rare and natural fancy pink diamond from Australia's Argyle Mine. Some of the rarest diamonds on Earth originate from the Argyle Mine located in the East Kimberley region in the remote north of Western Australia. Each year, tenders from the Argyle Mine sell at private auction to some of the World's most prestigious jewellery houses. Pink diamonds are graded on the intensity of their colour which ranges from pale pink to intense and vivid shades of pink.

We created the Argyle Pink diamond ring for our client through our bespoke design service. The ring boasts a simple four claw setting with additional white diamond accents below the bezel. Slim shoulder and a delicate band complete the look of this delightful solitaire ring. We are happy to source and advise on rare pink diamonds through our Diamond Concierge service, and we quote for all items of this type on an individual basis.

Why are some diamonds pink?

The natural appearance of the colour pink derives from the physical structure of some diamonds. The same effect results in the formation of brown diamonds also originating from the Argyle Mine. Interestingly, the process of faceting the diamond can often help to intensify the colour. Owing to their rarity, only a small amount of natural pink diamonds are available at any one time. Furthermore, most sell at auction to the highest bidder. By contrast, some pink diamonds receive their colour through treatments. For this reason, we recommend a GIA certificate as an essential addition to the purchase of any natural pink diamond.
