Wedding Rings that Speak : The Script Ring
Perhaps you have a favourite verse from a book. Maybe you have a favourite song lyric. Or perhaps you have a hymn or passage of poetry that resonates through you. We all have books, lyrics, verses and sayings that are sacred to us. When we read them, hear them or recite them, they invoke strong feelings. Perhaps even a warm sense of nostalgia. How wonderful to draw upon these feelings and to carry a daily reminder of them.
Does it need to be a wedding ring?
The answer is no. Each week, we produce unique, one-of-a-kind rings carrying meaningful engravings, but only some of these are wedding rings. Think of the ‘Script Ring’ as a removable tattoo. An extension of your personality. Jewellery that provides a glimpse into your soul. If you are stuck for ideas, don’t research ideas. Look to yourself. Reach for your favourite book – selecting that meaningful sentence. Listen again to your favourite song. You’ve listened to it a thousand times and those words actually mean something.
Write down your ideas
Write down your ideas. Many folks keep a notebook and pen on their bedside. They capture those fleeting ideas that jump into their heads whilst half asleep. Many ideas find their way onto our page for engraved ring commissions, a good starting place for further information. Words can be combined with other concepts like adding a fingerprint or special symbol to a ring.
Consider the typeface
When you have your idea, consider the style of the writing you want. The above wedding ring features a Gaelic Hymn. The Ceanannas font makes perfect sense, in-keeping with the wording and theme.
Offer up your ideas
Perhaps you can inspire others with suggestions for a script ring. This is a great place to offer up inspiration or to tell us about the wording your ideal script ring would carry.
