Humour me for a moment. If you have a diamond or gemstone ring, take a close look at it right now. If your girlfriend or wife has a stone set engagement ring, take a look at it next time you’re together.
You might notice that the diamond doesn’t have quite as much sparkle as the day it was first worn – or following its last professional clean and re-finish.
Even if you take great care of the diamond and setting, the chances are, that over time, the diamond will lose a little bit of sparkle.
Firstly, this is normal – it’s nothing you are doing wrong!
It’s a well known fact that diamonds are attracted to grease and dirt. Natural oils and hand cream accumulate on the back of your diamond. They attract dust and dirt which impacts the brilliance of your diamond.
I have no doubt that you are very busy. Even if the cost is no issue, having the time to send your ring to be professionally cleaned is not always an option. It also feels weird to be without your ring – even for a week or two.
Over the years we have been asked on so many occasions for suggestions on how you can clean your diamond ring.
Finally we have an answer and a recommendation. Recently we introduced the Diamond Dazzle Stik – a small, compact pen-sized brush which conveniently cleans your diamond ring. 1. Simply wet the brush tip in water
2. Twist silver cap until the blue gel comes into the brush
