Bespoke 1930s Art Deco Ring

We recreated a bespoke diamond ring design for one of our returning clients, based on an original family heirloom. The design included classic Art-Deco styling, with geometric shapes across each shoulder, set with dazzling round brilliant-cut diamonds in Platinum.

Bespoke Vintage 1930s Diamond Engagement Ring

One of our recent bespoke ring commissions set out to re-create an original 1936 dated diamond engagement ring sadly lost. The original ring design featured a central Victorian-cut diamond in 18ct Gold, with small diamonds in the shoulders. Fortunately, a repair some years ago meant that another jeweller had taken photographs of the original, passed to us for the new design to be created.

First steps in creating the ring design

Our first steps involved a few basic sketches to outline the design and proportions for the new diamond. At the centre of the ring, our client chose a perfectly cut lab-grown diamond, with small natural diamonds to match on the shoulders. One of the distinctive style elements of the ring design included Art-Deco shapes on each shoulder, giving the ring an authentic and classic appearance, on either side of the traditional Tiffany-style setting. In a recent blog article about the 1930s style ring written on our Isle-of-Wight jewellery website, we provide some of the additional images of this beautiful ring design to show the progression of this wonderful commission.
