Canadamark Marquise Diamond Engagement Ring

We created an exceptional and truly breathtaking bespoke engagement ring through our custom-made jewellery design service. Our client, based in South Carolina, USA commissioned this incredible ring design, set with a fabulous Canadamark Marquise-cut diamond at the centre of the ring. 

As part of our ongoing commitment to responsibly sourced diamonds, we offer the option to source natural diamonds, tracked from the mine to the polished diamond as part of the Canadamark system to ensure strict ethical standards. The 1.20 E colour VVS1 carat Marquise-cut diamond originated from 6.272 carats of rough diamond, mined responsibly from the Diavik diamond mine in Canada's Northwest Territories. 

Once mined, the rough diamond's journey was tracked from the mine through the cutting process on the opposite side of the World in India, where it was GIA certified for reassurance of details including the colour, clarity and cut. 

In addition to the microscopic laser inscription of the GIA certificate number, the diamond also featured the Canadamark number laser inscribed on the girdle of the diamond. As such, a GIA certificate and Canadamark birth-certificate / ID card were included for our client as part of the commission. 

Additional features of the ring design.

In addition to the incredible centre diamond, we designed the engagement ring to include vibrant-green Marquise cut lab-grown diamonds on either side of the ring design. The green diamonds were lab-created and ethically sourced, set amongst lab-grown round-brilliant cut diamonds in this breathtaking ring design. We all agreed that the finished ring went beyond all expectations. All of the diamond were set into recycled 18ct Yellow Gold over a timescale of approximately 5 weeks. 

To create the ring design, we started with CAD designs to provide a realistic impression of the final ring design. For rings set with fancy-shaped diamonds, we create the CAD design working with the precise measurements of the diamond once this has been sourced. 

From Canada to South Carolina with love.

The journey of most diamonds is rarely known, but in this instance, the rough diamond was mined in Canada and cut in India through a time-honoured tradition of diamond polishing. Certified by the Gemological Institute of America, the diamond continued its journey back across the globe to the UK, where it was set into the finished ring design. In the final stage of its journey, the ring travelled to South Carolina in readiness for a dream proposal.
