Fishtail Shaped Diamond Eternity Ring
For this shaped eternity ring commission, we created a third ring to compliment our client's original trilogy diamond engagement ring and channel-set shaped wedding ring. Crafted in 950 Platinum, the ring deviated from the shaped wedding ring with its distinctive channel set diamonds. In contrast, the shaped eternity ring was styled with Fishtail settings to create a variation in appearance between the wedding and eternity ring. Like many of our shaped ring commissions, we worked with CAD design software to create a shaped and fitted ring for the opposite edge of the engagement ring.
Fishtail settings get their name owing to the appearance of the claws when viewed from the side. The V shaped design resembles individual fish tails and is sometimes referred to as a French pavé setting. As part of our service, we re-finished the original rings to ensure all three rings returned in as-new condition to our client.
