Purple Sapphire Solitaire Slider Necklace
We created the Purple Sapphire solitaire slider necklace for one of our returning clients. As a connoisseur of exotic and colourful gemstones, we were sent an incredible example of a deeply intense Purple Sapphire. Our brief involved the design of a simple pendant to match previous jewellery we crafted for other Sapphires. As a result, we designed a solitaire pendant based on the style elements of a pair of bespoke cornflower-blue-sapphire earrings and ring made for her on two previous occasions.
The slider necklace featured a rounded cup-shaped pendant design with a partial bezel to surround the Sapphire. This design allowed light into the Sapphire to enhance the gemstone's colour and brilliance. Weighing over 3-carats the Purple Sapphire measured approximately 8.5mm. The accompanying Platinum chain passed through the body of the pendant faithful to most of our slider necklace designs.
