Leaf Style Diamond Rings – Taking Inspiration from the Natural World

Most jewellery designers work with an open eye to the natural world around them. Inspiration comes from many sources. Nature is just one of these. Plant form and texture often lend inspiration. Today we have chosen two designs we have produced for clients. Both leaf style diamond rings have a basic leaf form, each offering a unique alternative, but both styled with the use of diamonds.

Blue Sapphire & Diamond Leaf Styled Diamond Ring

This design is a beautiful in terms of originality and elegance. As you will see from some of our shop examples, the combination of white diamonds with rich blue Sapphires provides stunning contrast. The ring is wonderfully balanced by using three equally sized Sapphires. This particular ring design was a delight to photograph, having been created in 18ct White Gold. It is set with just over half a carat of Marquise cut blue Sapphires. The total diamond weight (t.d.w) is 0.12cts, with each diamond held securely within claw settings. Each Sapphire apex is secured with a ‘V’ claw, defining the shape of each stone.

18ct White & Yellow Gold Leaf Style Diamond Ring

Our second design obviously takes its inspiration from the form of a leaf. The Band flows from 18ct White Gold, through to 18ct Yellow Gold. The ring is divided by the central vein of 18ct Yellow Gold which is bordered by contrasting white diamonds. Each stone is claw set around the edges of the leaf, looping (not too dissimilar in appearance from our unusual loop style ring) and re-joining at the shoulder of the ring. From a practical point of view, this design sits at a very low height from the finger and is a perfect design for anyone wishing to combine the beauty of both 18ct White and Yellow Gold. The ring holds 0.18cts of round brilliant cut diamonds.

Both of the designs featured here are readily available, and we would suggest contacting us for details. At this time they are not current designs listed online, but full details are available upon enquiry along with prices. There are so many beautiful commissions to photograph and feature, it is difficult sometimes to choose designs. Both of these faithfully reflect natural elements, and are perfect examples of leaf style diamond rings for today’s blog.
