Raindance Inspired Diamond Rings – Diamond Bubble Rings

3 Carat Raindance Inspired Diamond Ring

Raindance Rings and the Evolution of Bubble Cluster Rings

The Raindance ring gained popularity in contemporary jewellery design. Raindance rings were introduced by Boodle and Dunthorne (aka Boodles), founded in 1798.

An example of the Raindance ring design resides in the V & A Museum.

Interestingly, the copyright relating to the Raindance ring belongs exclusively to Boodles. However, similar designs take inspiration from this contemporary design classic in much the same way as the iconic Tiffany style setting.

In fact, many popular jewellery styles originate from some of the most famous jewellery companies. Moreover, exclusivity and luxury make designs desirable and aspirational. An example appears in Boodle’s television documentary, which features a purchase of a Raindance ring by actress Emma Thompson. As a result, celebrity endorsement offers incredible credibility and value to both designers and ring designs.

What are diamond bubble rings?

Bubble rings feature several diamonds set in close proximity. In detail, most feature a finely crafted arrangement of bezel-set diamonds across multiple strands. In fact, most bubble designs carry a resemblance to the many variations of the Raindance ring.

Arrangements of round diamonds define the style of a diamond bubble ring. Most rings feature a random arrangement of diamond sizes. And, diamond sizes vary enormously, depending on the overall carat weight of the ring design.

The Diamond Pop Ring

Our latest design features a single band with a decadent arrangement of different-sized diamonds, styled in 18-carat Gold or Platinum. The Diamond Pop Ring provides a versatile design, suitable as a dress ring or engagement ring, available with a shaped diamond band to match.

The first designs featured an interwoven arrangement of different diamond sizes in full bezel settings. Bezel settings form a polished frame around the edge of each diamond.

The original bubble rings featured three bands, merging into a single band behind the finger.

Many variations are possible by mixing different sizes of diamonds. Two similar rings of the same carat weight often contain different diamond sizes.

At Serendipity Diamonds, bubble rings fall into several carat weight versions including 1-carat, 1.5-carat, 2-carat and 3-carat examples.

Carnegie is set with over 3-carats of diamonds.

We create most of these ring designs in three parts. First, we create each band. Then, we finish each section before adjoining them to arrive at the final fused ring. As a result, we polish each section to perfection for the best possible finish.

We craft bubble-style diamond rings in a full choice of precious metals. For example, 18ct White Gold, 18ct Yellow Gold, 18ct Rose Gold and 950 Platinum.

We make most rings with round brilliant cut diamonds. These include natural or lab-grown diamonds. Larger diamonds over 0.30 carats feature full diamond certification. In addition, we now offer Moissanite bubble rings at a more affordable price compared to diamonds.

Custom Made Bubble Style Diamond Rings

Custom made ring in the bubble style, made by bespoke design

We create custom-made bubble rings, styled individually for any client. For example, the design above featured clustered arrangements of small diamonds. In addition, 2 larger diamonds provided by our client were matched to a diamond. As a result, we created a matching set of diamonds for this particular commission.

Our bespoke rings take weeks of work to create. From design work by CAD, image production and model making. The final stages see the ring evolve through mounting, setting and finishing.

For further information on how we can help with your individual commission, please email us including as much information as possible for your required design, or call us to talk things through.

The following designs are all based on a similar feel to the Raindance style of ring with distinctive multiple band styling with variable diamond sizes.
