Cut Out Wedding Rings | Shaped and Made to Fit Engagement Rings

Cut out wedding ring to fit engagement ring

Cut Out Wedding Rings

Cut out wedding rings are shaped wedding rings. They are styled to fit perfectly to a specific engagement ring. Most cut out wedding rings derive from a bespoke design process. Existing shop designs rarely work. Instead, a custom made ring ensures the perfect fit. The cut out wedding ring design is sculpted in wax, or designed after the engagement ring is 3D scanned. The resulting edge—appearing as if cut out, fits perfectly flush against the setting and shoulders of an engagement ring design.

Many of our past commissions can be found photographed on our website, by way of example. One of our latest commissions adapted to an illusion set engagement ring with broad, heavily shaped shoulders.

Interlocking Cut Out Wedding Rings

A pronounced shape is key to ensuring both rings fit harmoniously and remain in position. A common mistake with many cut out wedding rings lies is creating a small nick in the edge of a band. Without a pronounced interlocking shape, the recessed section can move apart—failing to remain in position.

The above cut out wedding ring provided enough shape to ensure both rings remain in position. The overall breadth of the shaped band relates to the substance and weight of the broadly shaped engagement ring shoulders.
