How to order a Groom’s wedding ring and get the size just right

Modern internet shopping opens up an easy way to purchase wedding rings. Furthermore, there are many more styles available in comparison to local stores.

Men get regularly order the wrong wedding ring size online

Men frequently get their wedding ring size wrong. Free sizing tools and online charts rarely help. We find that even couples visiting jewellers come out with an incorrect size to reference. But why does finger size remain such an issue?

The effect of width and style on on men’s wedding rings

Certain wedding ring styles fit differently to others. In addition, wider bands feel tighter on the finger. For this reason, it is very important to try on a ring in the correct finger size—made in the desired width—and ideally with the same profile. This is not always possible, especially if you are buying online. For this reason, the wedding ring size can be extremely difficult to get right.

What is the best way to get the correct size for a guys wedding ring?

We have a system in place for determining wedding ring size. Furthermore, this system works very well. Our system was devised to help find out the correct wedding ring size. This is advantageous for our non-local clients and for us.

Why is it so important to get wedding ring size right?

If a bespoke wedding ring is ordered in the wrong size, this can cause an issue. Some rings have to be completely re-made if the wrong size is ordered. This is especially true when rings are highly customised. Patterned wedding rings and engraved wedding rings can sometimes be enlarged in size. However, many customised wedding rings cannot be re-sized. This is especially true when it comes to reducing the size of patterned and fully engraved wedding rings.

Getting the correct size using our easy-to-use size system.

We have a specific size system you are welcome to use. After browsing through our collection of wedding rings online, visit our ring sizer page to begin the process. This is briefly how the process works.

Firstly—visit our designated website page featuring a selection of size samples.

This page has full information on the process.

Secondly, purchase the Trial size set.

Don’t worry, the price is fully refundable. This begins the process. Remember to choose the correct currency if you are in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Ireland or Europe.

Next, wait for our free ring sizer to arrive

First, we sent a free strap ring sizer. This allows you to guesstimate your ring size. Check this against your wedding ring finger.

Finally, arrange your set of trial sizers.

Finally, contact us with this guesstimated size. We then send you 3 ring blanks in a spread of three sizes. If you think your wedding ring size is T, we will send you one ring in size S+1/2, another size sample in size T, and finally a third sample ring in size T +1/2. One of the rings will fit—giving you a precise finger size. If none of the rings fit correctly, contact us and we will send a selection of additional sizes.

Lastly, place your order

With your ring size confirmed, you are then welcome to place your order. We recommend returning the sample rings at this point. We will either refund the cost, or deduct the loan amount for the sizers from your order.
