Discover the perfect pair of Gold wedding rings
Discover the perfect pair of rings from Serendipity Diamonds. We craft a varied selection of styles in a range of precious metals. For example, White Gold, Platinum, Yellow Gold and Rose Gold.
In addition, we now provide Fairtrade Gold. To explain, Fairtrade Gold ensures 100% ethical rings. Furthermore, each Fairtrade ring includes the Fairtrade Gold stamp.
Which precious metal to choose?
Which precious metal do you choose for your bands? Right now, Platinum offers excellent value. In addition, 950 Platinum remains white. Unlike 18ct White Gold, with a Rhodium plating, Platinum is naturally coloured. Whilst gold rings remain popular, Platinum offers a denser, more luxurious choice.
Additional benefits include allergy-free properties. Holding a Platinum band feels luxurious. The additional weight of a Platinum band gives a feeling of quality. Don't forget to check out some of our wedding ring guide topics on the blog.
Compared to Palladium, Platinum feels substantial. This luxurious choice of precious metal refurbishes very well.
Many of our clients show surprise when we refinish their Platinum rings back to as new condition. A professional refinish restores the mirror polish. Or, the original matte satin finish to the surface.
But what about Rose Gold? Choose 18ct Rose Gold for a pinkish coppery colour. Rose Gold has risen in popularity over the last year.
Set with white diamonds, Rose Gold contrasts beautifully. By comparison, 9ct Rose Gold is less durable and darker in colour.
Finally, Yellow Gold is perfect for traditional wedding bands. Most people associate Gold with this colour. Yellow Gold suits darker, Mediterranean or Asian skin tones.
Some designs combine a mixture of all three metal colours, For example, White, Rose and Yellow Gold blended together in one design. Browse some of our 2 or 3 colour wedding bands with inlays and coloured edges.

Hardness and Durability of Precious Metals
Almost all precious metals mark and scratch over time. This wear builds to a natural Patina on the Gold or Platinum surface of the ring. Read our rings guide which covers a variety of topics including durability, hardness and hallmarking.
At first, small scratches appear more visible. But, over time these even across the ring. If you prefer the pristine new look of your ring, we regularly re-furbish wedding bands.
For heavier wear, we file out knocks and dents before re-polishing the ring. When we refinish diamond bands, part of the process involves an ultrasonic clean.
Rings go into an ultrasonic cleaner. This shakes dirt and grease from the back of diamonds. Ultrasonic cleaning penetrates most diamond settings. Both Gold and diamonds sparkle as new once cleaned and refinished.
A note on wedding ring insurance
We highly recommend clients take out wedding ring insurance. Most insurance policies cover accidental loss or damage. If you decide to cover your rings on your home policy, please check your small print.
We recommend a specific insurer for wedding bands. Ensure your cover starts after receipt of your rings. Ensure your rings are valued every few years to ensure your wedding bands are covered for the correct amount.
For perfect wedding rings UK purchased, we gladly quote for insurance. Please just contact us with your email address for a personal insurance quote.
Our lifetime warranty for wedding bands

Find the perfect wedding style and width for your Gold wedding band
All of our simple rings can be ordered in a choice of three weights. For example, we craft lightweight, medium weight and heavyweight bands. Furthermore, we make each style in a full choice of widths.
Widths range from 2.5mm (suitable for most engagement rings) to 10mm. Please contact us if you cannot find your ideal width and finger size for any chosen design. We pride ourselves on our customer services. Contact us for any help and guidance.
Unusual men's wedding bands UK
Many of our unusual men's rings include machined patterns or unique engraved effects. Please ensure the correct finger size is ordered. If you are unsure about your finger size, please contact us for guidance.
Some men's and ladies wedding rings adjust easier for size than others. For example, our classic Traditional court or Slight Court remain popular for ease of ring sizing. Other styles, including Flat Court and Concave styles, are trickier to resize.
How soon to order your rings before the wedding
Most couples arrange their wedding ring with plenty of time to spare. We recommend allowing at least 2 months.
Occasionally, adjustments may be needed. As a result, allow plenty of time to avoid any last-minute panic. A typical wedding ring takes between 3-4 weeks to create.
Some of our clients purchase their bands online. Other clients visit our showroom to view designs in person. Additional services include our sample ring service.
Select your design and contact us to check on availability. We send many of our showroom samples out on loan.

Diamond set wedding bands
In addition to men's and ladies rings, we create a diverse selection of unique diamond set wedding bands. Perfect for brides, our diamond bands make perfect eternity rings beyond marriage. Our designs include straight, shaped and slightly curved designs.
Showroom appointments for wedding jewellery
Many buyers within the UK choose to visit our Ryde showroom to view a wide selection of wedding ring styles. During a typical appointment, clients view, try on and learn about all aspects of buying a wedding ring. During an appointment, we check finger size and advise on precious metals. This service works very well for anyone looking for a shaped wedding band.
A shaped band fits around an existing engagement ring setting. Working with your actual engagement ring, we create a CAD model of your ring before any work commences.
This way, clients see an impression of the shaped band. Then, we start work on the ring itself. Some clients choose a diamond-shaped band, whilst others choose a plain ring.
Setting styles for diamond bands
Within our collection, you will find many diamond set ring styles. Some of the many setting styles include channel settings, claw settings, flush settings and grain settings. Firstly, channels settings.
Simple, clean and elegant the channel set rings offer a sleek look. Diamonds sit within a channel, arranged in a row.
The most popular variations include Princess cut and Round Brilliant cut channel settings. Princess cuts create a seamless look compared to round diamonds.
Other diamond cuts include Baguette cut diamonds. Some designs feature Baguette bands arranged end to end. Others feature diamonds arranged lengthways along the ring’s width.
