Different types of loose diamonds

Loose diamonds come in all different whiteness grades and clarity grades ranging from IF clarity to I3 clarity. However, most of our loose diamonds are available in a regular G colour and SI1 clarity. We use this grade for our diamond jewellery. We welcome any enquiry with no minimum order value. In addition to regular mined diamonds, we also provide fully traceable and ethical Canadamark diamonds in regular sizes ranging from 1mm upto 4mm in size. This service is aimed at responsible jewellers and goldsmiths.

From Rough to Radiant: The Art and Science of Diamond Cutting

When it comes to diamond cutting, it's not just about transforming a rough rock into a beautiful gemstone - it's about capturing the essence of that diamond and bringing it to life. Serendipity Diamonds knows this all too well, as they specialize in creating bespoke diamond jewellery that perfectly captures their clients' unique personalities and tastes.

The diamond-cutting industry may be concentrated in a few key regions, but the artisans and innovators within those regions truly make the magic happen. In Mumbai and Surat, skilled workers toil away in tiny workshops, creating dazzling diamonds that will one day adorn the necks and fingers of the world's most stylish trendsetters. Meanwhile, in Belgium, the experts in cutting and trading large, high-quality diamonds continue to amaze us with their talent and expertise.

In Israel, diamond-cutting techniques are constantly evolving, thanks to their drive for innovation and progress. And, of course, the United States boasts several large diamond cutting and jewellery manufacturing centres, like New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, where the magic truly happens.

Whether it's accent stones for jewellery or industrial applications like cutting tools and drill bits, small diamonds (also known as melee diamonds) are cut and polished in large quantities in these regions. And with the growing demand for ethically sourced and sustainably produced diamonds, new cutting and polishing centres have sprung up in regions like Africa and Canada.

No matter where the diamonds come from or how they're cut, one thing is for certain: diamond cutting is a highly specialized and skilled craft that requires a combination of traditional techniques and cutting-edge technology - something that Serendipity Diamonds knows all too well.
