Blue Sapphire & Diamond Trellis Ring
A trellis setting provides a framework of precious metal claws to support one or more diamonds or gemstones held within a piece of jewellery. In this specific commission, we crafted a unique trellis ring to accommodate a sparkling arrangement of diamonds around a vibrant blue sapphire. Our accomplished CAD design team created an incredible design to showcase each gemstone above a wedding-ring-friendly band made in 950 Platinum.
Trellis ring specifications
At the heart of the trellis ring design, we set a royal blue sapphire weighing 2.71cts with a diameter of 8.5mm. A set of graduating diamonds descend from the trellis arrangement of settings with a total carat weight of 0.60cts. Sizes varied from 1.4mm to 2.4mm in diameter, held within luxurious 950 Platinum.
The Ring was crafted over a timescale of 5-6 weeks during which time we created the ring model, cast the finished item, mounted, set and finished the ring to our usual exacting standards. Upon completion, the ring was photographed and filmed and added to our bespoke jewellery designs created at Serendipity Diamonds.
