Cabochon Sapphire Ring
Blue Sapphire Cabochon in 950 Platinum
We created this beautiful cabochon sapphire ring through our bespoke design service. We crafted the ring through our bespoke design service, tailored to our client's requirements. At the heart of this simple, yet alluring ring design, we set a unique rounded blue sapphire with a cabochon-style gemstone cut. In contrast, many of our other bespoke sapphire rings feature traditional faceted cuts in a variety of shapes.
In this instance, we sourced a 1.52-carat blue sapphire with a rounded cabochon cut—rounded or domed on the surface, less rounded on the underside to assist with setting the sapphire into the ring. The chosen sapphire glinted with deep blue hues. Most importantly, the gem provided a suitable hardness for daily wear. The luxurious marble-like appearance of the sapphire gave the final ring its truly bespoke appearance.
The Platinum setting provided the perfect means to display the incredible gemstone—celebrated as the birthstone for September. In fact, the purity and whiteness of Platinum provide a neutral colour to enhance the sapphire colour.
