Isle of Wight Grockle Pendant
The Isle of Wight Grockle pendant joins a variety of unique, handcrafted pendant designs styled to celebrate unique words from the Isle of Wight. The word Grockle refers to a tourist or visitor, sometimes also referred to as an overner. In contrast, the alternative 'Caulkhead' necklace represents a third-generation Isle of Wight resident—styled into another design within our Isle of Wight jewellery collection.
The Grockle necklace measures 4.5cm in length x 1cm in width and each version is subtly different owing to the handmade process. Each letter is hand-stamped in our workshop in a beautiful bold vintage typewriter font. The pendant is then decoratively distressed along the edges to provide a rustic appearance, with letters blackened through a specialised process to bring out detail. In the final steps, we mirror polish the pendant to give each piece a beautiful shine ready to wear.
