Blue Sapphire and Diamond Drop Necklace
We created a unique blue Sapphire and diamond drop necklace, for one of our returning clients. The design was based on their existing engagement ring design—the 'Unity' engagement ring—crafted with a tension style setting. Our brief involved a design to reveal the beauty of an incredible 2.39-carat natural blue Sapphire sourced for the commission. With a diameter of approximately 7mm, the necklace design sweeps around the edge of the Sapphire with a long elongated design.
In addition to the blue Sapphire, 0.33-carats of sparkling white diamonds contrasted with the Sapphire, graduating towards each end of the pendant. Adjoining the necklace, we set another brilliant-cut diamond in an articulated section of the necklace through which the chain passed, incorporating the slider pendant design.
This incredible necklace formed part of a suite of jewellery designs, including the original engagement ring, a matching wedding ring, shaped blue Sapphire and diamond eternity ring, and a pair of blue Sapphire stud earrings.
