The five stone ring is a fairly broad categorisation for a diamond ring that has five diamonds (in this instance) set into the ring. There is no rule of thumb to how these diamonds will be sized or spaced, set or proportioned in relation to each other. As a result the definition of a five stone ring can be a very broad and non-specific description. To name just a few of the typical styles of five stone design, there are half eternity styles, five stone engagement ring styles, and finally dress rings with a varied combination of stones. Diamonds can be included by way of a straight or graduating set, or can form diamond accents across the shoulders, either side of a main diamond. The diamond colour and clarity (see our diamond information for more details) can be varied, but routinely we offer a G colour and SI1 clarity owing to the whiteness and purity being very high without the cost of the better levels. The significance of the five diamonds can be a beautiful touch to this style of ring, very appropriate for a proposal after being together for five years, or even a special present for five years of marriage, worn as a dress rings. Any number of diamonds in a ring can lend significance
